Moodle2 server is now available. New course categories have been created on Moodle2 for teachers who used Moodle1 last school year. If any teacher would like to use Moodle2 and does not currently have a category listed there, please follow the instructions on the next topic to request Moodle services. You can access new Moodle 2 here at http://learning.sanjuan.edu/.
For uniformity, category tree will follow this convention and not be grouped by subject. However, within your category, you may create and manage as many different courses and subjects as you like.
TOP LEVEL (HIGH, MIDDLE, K-8, ELEMENTARY) > School Name > Lastname, First Initial
Moodle2 server is a fresh installation and no user data will be transferred from the old server. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but it is necessary for two reasons. One, we need to recover disk space from the many years that users have uploaded information but who are no longer using Moodle. And two, there are migration issues when upgrading from an old version of Moodle to the latest version of Moodle and is compounded by migration to new platforms (OS and Db).
Teachers who would like to keep their information from the old Moodle are responsible for copying their data from the old to the new server. This includes copying your files and content from Moodle1 and rebuilding your courses on Moodle2. During this transition period, Moodle1 server will continue to run concurrently with Moodle2 server for the 2012-2013 school year to provide teachers with ample time to move over to the new Moodle2 server.
Moodle1 server planned decommissioned date is on June 30th, 2013. Any user data not moved over by then will be lost.
